little kid is in solitary confinement again after throwing an entire roll of toilet paper into a poopy toilet (guess who got to get it out?). This was right after dumping the clean laundry baskets out onto the floor. Yesterday he removed the shower drain cover and threw a small cowboy down there, completely disabling that shower until a plumber can be called or Mr. Ashley can find a tool that will reach it.
He is in big trouble. He is mostly in there for his own safety at this point.
We have one of these:

and it never ceases to amaze me how often I use it! It was a "leaving home" gift for dh from his Dad, probably found at a local hardware store.
I love your LK stories-they make me laugh everyday!!
When I read this, I can't help but laugh out loud. But, I do realize that it's probably not very funny (or funny at all) for you. Best of luck with little kid today!
ReplyDeleteWe have one of those grabby things, too. We use it all the time! My son likes to drop things down the sink drain which conviently has no plug because they didn't work. He also likes to pee down the shower drain, but that's another story.
ReplyDeleteWhy can't they just understand that things like 'timeout' and 'naps' are really only for their own SAFETY?!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you're just prepping him for a few all nighters in a cell.
ReplyDeleteOf course not for any serious offenses. He'll just be having fun and it will just happen to be illegal.
I had to laugh. I just know this is going to be Bud. Plus it reminds me of the time Baby Girl tried to flush the Barbie down the toliet. So don't try to comfort yourself with "if only I had a girl..." So not the case.
ReplyDeleteOh yea for his own safety I agree.
ReplyDeleteYou could always just tie him up or something;) but knowing him he would figure out how to untie himself and get into more trouble
Wow, I don't have kids and I know why...I would freak out everytime they did something. Although my dog ripped up a 2 foot long piece of carpet and ate it last month and she's still around.
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing! What about chop sticks? I recently unclogged a drain with the help of chopsticks.
ReplyDeleteI look toward reading your blog each day...puts a smile on my face because you are the voice of all moms! I have four boys and we go through the same thing!!
ReplyDeleteForget the terrible two's, three's are the worst! But it goes soooo fast! Mine are 12 and 15 and have a whole other set of issues! Just enjoy pulling your hair out now cause later you will want to pull out their tongues!!!
