Hot Sally

On the way to school this morning I asked Big Kid, "So, any girls in your class have girlfriend potential?" thinking he'd get mad at me for teasing him.

"Well....Sally's hot," he answered matter-of-factly, after a moment of consideration.

"Uh, hot?" I asked, feeling uncomfortable.

"Yeah, you know, she looks good and stuff."

"So, she's pretty?"

"Yep, she's lookin' pretty hot."

It's hard to pinpoint what sounds so inappropriate about describing a first grader as "hot", even if it's another first grader doing it. We were pulling up to the school and I wasn't in the mood to end our morning arguing semantics, so I said that she sounded nice and allowed Sally to continue being hot to Big Kid.

  1. Definitely not something you want to hear from a first grader.

  3. haha i remember my mom never allowed me to call any boy "hot", even in high school because it "sounds too sexual"

  4. My little nephew has talked like that before when I asked him about the girls in his class. I don't like it one bit. It makes me feel...icky.

He's also kind of a weird kid though, he touches my boobs way more than I would prefer. That makes me feel icky too.

  5. Made me think of what happened last year in my 1st grade classroom. A mom came in with birthday cupcakes for her son, and one of his friends said, "WOW! You're mom is a hottie!". You could have heard a pin drop.....

  6. Don't see why YOU would see anything wrong with it, you liberal-left-wing puke.

  7. If that's the best you can come up with, you haven't been reading long enough, you conservative right-wing fucktard.

Don't tell the non-commenters, but I secretly hate them.

(kidding, kidding, I don't hate all of them. The shy ones are okay. The lazy ones suck though.)
