I always feel productive doing the things that lead me to no tangible end result. And then my husband comes home and says, "What did you do today?" Now I spend my days coming up with more reasonable lies.
I hate packing. At least you aren't moving cross-country! When worse comes to worse, you can just grab armfuls of stuff and throw them in the car - just making multiple trips.
I always start off with a really nice packing plan, everything's packed nicely, lots of purging, master packing list with color-coded stickers on the boxes, etc. Then it gets close to moving day and I run out of boxes so I go buy a big box of contractor trash bags and start throwing everything that's not breakable in them. It works surprisingly well, actually.
Roughly the last five times we've moved I've sworn that we're getting movers next time. Moving day is pretty much the only day DH and I fight. Next time I swear we are getting movers because I don't want to have another couch dropped on my head.
Best of luck to you with your movie. Even thought the actual packing and moving usually stinks the end result where you can purge all your stuff and start fresh is worth it. Is the Lexus lady devastated by your relocation? :)
Moving isn't that bad. It's really what you make of the experience, enjoy the new sights and sounds, and go meet new people. Packing, though, is a totally different story.

First off, the Hunger Games was surprisingly amazing.
Second, I just moved this weekend and I'm pretty sure it gets more horrible every time I do it. And I don't even have children's things to move yet.
Packing sucks! Here's hoping your packing fairy godmother shows up :)

God I hate moving. I always lose stuff and have anxiety dreams. Yuck. Hope the move goes smoothly.
And in all of your spare time, it looks like your site's feed is down :(. Good luck with the move though-if I was in FL I would help you!

Uh oh Shelly, I barely know what that means. Through feedburner or google? Do you know if it's still down?
