My husband loves the Food Network. He watches and DVR's good eats. It's kinda educational and you learn things about certain foods. Angry Toddler likes it too.
If you don't have a love for food it can be hard to watch. I like to cook and love to use it as mindless television. Occasionally I pick up something wonderful.
For example. Paula Deen made boxed brownie mix, put half in the pan. Added chocolate bars (I used choc/caramel) topped with the rest of the mix and bake per box directions. They were sinful and made watching oh so worth it!
I don't cook or eat, either, so I have no love for those shows. My husband, on the other hand, loves cooking and food, so he really gets into those shows.
I don't cook at all (and have no desire to) but I LOVE watching cooking shows. I don't know what it is about them that I find so appealing. I find it very soothing to watch.....
My favorites are those challenge shows where they have to make sculptures out of sugar or chocolate.... I love it when they drop and break into a million pieces!
I like cooking and eating, and cooking shows still bore the crap out of me. In fact, that comment by Anonymous and your response were more interesting than any cooking show I've seen.

They almost always make me want to fall asleep. My daughter loves it (skinny minnie!) and one of my best friends loves them (but she's a food addict).
Depends on what he's watching. Have you SEEN the chick w/ the big boobs and low-cut top?! Geez.
Like I want THOSE in my salad.
