Reboot

This morning in the car the boys were arguing and Big Kid was whining and crying about it. I'm pretty sick of whining and crying so I pointed out that he sounded like a baby.

Big Kid: I do not sound like a baby! I'm not a baby!

Ashley: You sound like one when you whine like that.

Big Kid: Dat's it, mom. When I get home from school today, I'm unpluggin' your computer. I'm turnin' it off. You'll have to reboot.

Ashley: I'll reboot your butt, Big Kid. Don't threaten me.

Big Kid: You don't go freatenin' me, mom! I'll unplug it ebery day! You'll have to turn it back on all da time and start what you were doin' all over again.

Ashley: Seriously...hush it. Right Now. And don't touch my computer.

Just make sure you relly do reboot his butt if he does it!

My lovely, sweet, precious 3 year old daughter decided that she didn't want to go to daycare this morning. So the entire way there she was screaming "I DON'T WANT TO GO TO SCHOOL. I WANT TO GO HOME."...multiple times...over and over...Despite my telling her that daddy was going to work and
I was going to school and big brother was going to school too. No one would be at home to play with you, I said. Don't you want to go and play with your
friends? She apparently decided that wasn't good enough so my darling, wonderful, terrific daughter took her shoes off and THREW them at me as I was
DRIVING! Now that really helped! Needless to say, she went to daycare!

They must have gotten together and passed notes or something because we had a big ole whinefest at our house too. I really, really hate it. I'm hoping the baby isn't a whiner.

I've taken to putting my laptop up on the counter top when I leave the room. I spent way too much time with it and they both give it dirty looks when I leave the room...

What a scary thing for a little one to say!! That is a huge threat in my world.

You know how parents always say "I hope your kids act like you do!"?? Big Kid has it comin'. Just sayin'!

He's hilarious though!

Do you seriously have to type Big Kid's talking that way? I'm sure some people think it's cute, but I think it's kind of psycho.

Anonymous, you must have missed the "you don't have to read it" clause. We have a policy here where you can leave at any time.

We'll try to struggle on without your expert advice and insight. In fact, I'm surprised you're not busy writing your own popular blog, or living some sort of fabulous life that leaves little time for criticizing strangers that don't care what you think. Get a life, loser.

Mmunford, has your kid been watching Bush footage on CNN? That sounds like a little kid move right there!

Hey, the earlier Anonymous is nuts! I love, love, love when you write about Big Kid (and Little Kid) and include his special words. You can almost hear the little guy talking that way. Don't change a thing!

How come all the cute kids are on the internet, but the ones that are around me are annoying little bastards?

I am serious with this question people.

Just last nite, my evening plans were put off because my friends 5 year old has decided that he wants to be home after daycare and is not interested in going anywhere, like to dinner with us, or to our house etc. I damn sure do not remember my mom asking me what I wanted to do--more like I was told to get in the car and I did it.

Unknown said...

Yeah Paige, that wouldn't fly around here. We go do what momma wants to go do. Although you very well might think Big Kid was pretty annoying if you had to hang out with him...

That Big Kid! He is going to be a comedian or computer guy!

I love the random post thing in your sidebar!! It is great to go back to the old ones that I have not read in a while!
