NOOOO

Mr. Ashley said cupcakes were already on the sign up sheet for school. DAMMIT. I asked him if Leo's mom was bringing them but he said he hadn't checked and that he was taking no part in my war. Some husband/father he is, huh?

So quick, what else can I bring?? Any ideas? The whole "No Christmas" thing really puts a damper on the season and hinders my creativity. Oh I'm so ticked.

What about decorating rice crisp treats?? Can't you buy them pre-made somewhere and then do them in a frosty motif like the cupcakes or snowflakes?

*If* you could pull this off with the other stuff you have going on, it would certainly be a showstopper and also put that bitch to shame, no matter WHAT she brought:

If link doesn't work, go to marthastewart.com and look up Igloo Cake.

Good luck.

My bakery has 6 point star cookies outlined in blue (the icing "draws" the Star of David). Or how about plain old 5 point star cookies sprinkled with blue sugar. To show your faux-Jewishness. I think blue is the color of Israel. Oh, here's another one, you could do the 6 point star and then pipe in icing some Hebrew letters ! Something like that, no ? That's all I've got for ya !

You could just make the snowmen and not put them on cupcakes.

We did "Snowman Soup" at our school and it was a big hit! http://organizedchristmas.com/snowman-soup

Good luck. I'm totally with you on the war. I'm the same way. :)

three marshmallows on a skewer with dots for eyes would be cute snowmen...and they sure do love marshmallows at that age!

OK, here is my plan make star cookies decorated with the blue and white frosting. The stars should be different sizes with a hole in the middle and then pile them up on a stick from smallest to biggest like a giant unside down Christmas Tree. Do you think the censors would catch it?

You know I am going to absolutely no help. None at all. I am boycotting/ignoring the sign up sheet for The Politician's party tomorrow because I am tired of bringing crap to the school. 4s teacher, use your damn PTO budget allocation before you ask us parents to bring more stuff in! Whew. That feels better.

Well, my kid told me last week he wanted me to bring cupcakes. He came home yesterday shouting "MOM! Someone didn't stick to the list and there are already cupcakes for thursday (ewww)! The kids were mad but I told them you'd make Muddy Buddies....and that those were even better than your cupcakes!!!!"

So I guess I'm doing Muddy Buddies. Not high on the presentation list....but very yummy.

Here's an "anti winter" type recipe, think Christmas in July, July in December? Sand Cups or Dirt Cups.

http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/search/SearchResults.htm?searchtext=sand+cups&u2=sand+cups&scope=all&start=1&rsort=

Either the sand cups for beach theme (if you do these, umbrellas are a must and put a layer of crunched Nilla wafers in the center, it's way better.)

The Dirt Cups are cute too, I just don't like Oreos (don't ban my IP).

Good Luck!

I've got an idea that would rocket you back into first place with ALL the kids and it would plunk Leo's mom on the far far FAR back burner....the kids would be like "Leo's mom who?"... but the problem is........ it may just put you right over the edge.......

use pretzels, biscuits and red gel to make little crosses with bleeding Jesuses on them.

.....they are CHOCOLATE CHERRY MICE COOKIES.....they are kind of along the lines of the turkeys you made earlier...they may be old news to you...but if you have never seen them...they are so adorable~and you kind of hate to eat them they are sooooo cute......http://www.merry-christmas.com/recipes/recipe_20.htm
kids & adults both love them...if you decide to go this route & have any questions...just let me know...
