MIA

Big Kid's tooth is gone...and he doesn't have any idea where or when this happened.

He just had a bowl of chips and a sandwich, I'm thinking it went where they did.

Damn.

So how does the tooth fairy handle this? What the hell do I put in his "First Tooth" box?

This wasn't a part of the plan. Not at all. How the hell do you swallow a tooth??

You would have to look in his poop.

Personally, I would rather tell him the tooth fairy knows anyway and maybe something will be under his pillow.

Then, you know the rest ;)

My little sister (6) swallowed her first THREE teeth! My mom just 'wrote a note to the toothfairy' and put in the box explaning ..

did he freak out? when my sister realized she cried and cried.

Write a letter to the tooth fairy for him to put under the pillow. She's seen it all before, believe me! Its a cute keepsake for them when they are older - I had to write one because I accidentally rinsed my son's tooth down the drain!

My little cousin did the same thing...my Aunt had her write a letter to the tooth fairy and the tooth fairy still came.

I'm sorry, that's too funny... especially since you are so grossed out about teeth anyways.

I think that the tooth fairy should write him a letter, acknowledging his first lost tooth.

I swallowed my first tooth as well! My mom made me write a letter to the tooth fairy and put that under my pillow. Worked like a charm and I got my quarter....yes, those were the days when a quarter was a big deal!

Sounds like this is a common problem! Sweet Son #1 swallowed his first tooth as well. We just wrote a note to the Tooth Fairy, and she took care of him. As to what to put in the "First Tooth" box, can't really help you there. Will make a good story, though, how BK's first tooth is really his second tooth!

Oh nooooo. I think I jinxed him.

Look at the upside... You don't have to touch the bloody tooth. And there will be other teeth.

Ah man! I think I jinxed Big Kid with telling you that Emi swallowed her first one! A letter to the tooth fairy might work. And better luck with the next one. I do have Emi's second lost tooth. Oh, and I didn't even think about digging around in feces. Someone I know told me they did that. Dude, it is a tooth that was going to fall out anyway. The only way I'm searching through human waste is if someone swallowed diamonds. Big diamonds. Just sayin'!

Definitely leave a note for the tooth fairy. Maybe the tooth fairy could write him a letter back so he doesn't feel bad about "losing" it. Do it all up pretty with some "fairy dust." Good luck:)

Does this mean you don't have to give him $10?

We thought M had swallowed her first tooth too. Turned out it was in the box her food was in. Because we didn't have the tooth to put in her tooth pillow, we put a note and she got $5 due to it being MIA.

You know a good mom would pick through his poop samples...

My daughter swallowed her first lost tooth also. It went down with the quesadilla. We took a picture and wrote a note to the tooth fairy. She was very understanding and left $5.

With my son's first loss we couldn't find the tooth that night either, so we left a note for the tooth fairy she still left money, and when I found it the next day while vacuming I left it for her and she promptly picked it up.
