Nice Sign

All over town today, there were old people on street corners holding political signs. They had their own little campaign going, standing there in the heat waving at passing traffic in their golf shorts and visors.

Has anyone in the history of democracy been influenced by people holding signs and waving from the side of the road?

If so, their voting rights should be revoked immediately.

What a waste of man power.

Literally, I just had the convo with myself the other day. It's such a freaking waste of time...esp in that outfit...

Unfortunately, I think people are influenced that way.

I feel the same about those who are influenced by TV ads, or what their uncle said, or age, or race, you get the idea.

Do some research people. I don't care if you vote differently than I do, as long as you are informed.

They must have been McCain signs. I would have been tempted to run them over, and I don't want to go to jail. So just stop.

About a year and a half ago, when I started seeing people on the side of the freeway and on the overpasses during my commute home who were holding Ron Paul signs, I finally got curious enough to check him out. Did I decide to vote for him? No. But there were probably countless people just like me who checked him out because of those signs. It's just another way for people to promote their candidate, much the same way some of us put signs in our front yards.

I was going to say the same thing as kimmy crack korn. It's a way to get the candidate's name out there to the general public. Some people aren't affected by the signs and some people see them and then do their research. And of course, there are those people who go into the voting booth completely uninformed and vote based on name recognition.

No...but I always honk at those people whether I support them or not. I feel bad seeing them just standing around and when I honk they get all happy and rejuvenated.

Spreading the love...that's what it's all about.

I know, I know...you thought it was all about the hokey pokey...well it's NOT! dammit.

Not sure where to post this but I wanted to ask if anyone has heard of National Clicks?

Can someone help me find it?

Overheard some co-workers talking about it all week but didn't have time to ask so I thought I would post it here to see if someone could help me out.

Seems to be getting alot of buzz right now.

Thanks
