She's trying so hard! Every time I go over there and make noise or shine my light in, she starts chirping up a storm! Her and her neighbor have been chirping to each other, too. Her neighbor seems weaker though and it still looks REALLY wet in there, so I'm hoping that one stays in there and gets a little stronger before really rallying.
Our early bird looks like she could pop out any moment though.
Who knew it was so hard to get out of an egg?

How cool!
I didn't realize it would take this long. I've only ever seen a canary hatch from it's egg and it certainly didn't take all day.
The chirps are so cute!
Can you post a picture of what they are going to look like when they aren't wet and slimy?
Ah the anticipation!
Good good good luck, MamaAshley.
I remember raising chicks growing up: feeding them bright yellow Coccidiosis medicine in their water, heat lamp warmed hay/poop smells . . . Good times.
go chickie!
So exciting! I am on the edge of my seat and have been neurotically checking for updates every hour! How many other eggs do you have again?
I think I have 10 total. So 8 left. No signs of life from the others, so who knows, however I think they weren't due until Sunday, so who knows!
OH the anticipation is killing me.
i'm cheering for the chicks...you can do it lil chicks!!
