The End
Tonight Big Kid wanted me to read him this whole long ass Cars book. I tried to be nice about it, and started off enthusiastically, but the second he looked away you can damn sure bet that I skipped a whole bunch of pages. Blah, blah, blah, you've seen the movie, who has this kind of time, you can't even pay attention this long. No guilt here.

That's so funny.. I used to do that to DD#1... I'd turn two pages at once. Eventually she caught on but it took awhile!
Hey- there's some long freakin' books out there..
I have the opposite problem. I want to read the books and catch the plot, and Kiddo has zero attention span for reading. Flipping the pages back-and-forth endlessly -- yes. Reading -- no.
Why can't they ever do what WE want to do?
Been there done that!! my kid also has that book.
