So today I sat down to update my blog roll and got way sidetracked, as usual, and decided my blog needs a whole new look. I doubt this is it, but it's what I managed to come up with today. So bear with me and any wacky changes you notice around here and feel free to offer your opinion on what you would like to see or if you hate what's been done (not that it will necessarily change anything).
Alas, I did not get around to the task I set out to accomplish but it is higher on the to do list now. little kid is sick, I'm coming down with something and Big Kid has been talkative all day long. He's insisted on Play-doh, music time, and imaginary orchestra, where he is the conductor and I am whatever instrument he commands me to be. This is how we started our day:
Big Kid stumbling out of his room.
Ashley: Good Morning!
Big Kid: How tum you said dat to me?
Ashley: Said what? Good morning?
Big Kid: Yes, don't be talkin' wike dat to me.
Ashley: I'm just saying good morning, don't be rude to me.
Big Kid: Don't you say dat. I got pee-pee all over me and I'm just wakin' up. It is not a good mornin' dor me.
Ashley: Sorry about your luck.
So that's how we started our day and it's gone like that pretty much the rest of the day, with each of us taking turns being the crabby one. We are a regular barrel of monkeys around here today.
I hope to be back later, but no promises. I DO promise that my blog roll will be updated before 2008. I'm pretty sure.

Oh poor, poor Big Kid! I can honestly say that the first few moments after waking up covered in piss would definitely not fall under the category of "Good Morning" for me, either.
I read your blog from time to time, because you are such a smart ass, and you and Mr. Ashley remind me a lot of my husband and I.
I clicked on "Next Blog" at the top of the page. You should be proud to be next to (or is it behind?) a blog called, "Party Sex!"
Maybe when you redo your blog, the new name can be "Almost to Party Sex" or something like that.

Oh, GOD! Was it in the water today? I swear if my kid could talk, those are the kinds of conversations we would have had today. Equally annoying was the fact that he was Captain Charming to everyone we ran into in public, and just whiiiiinnnnned all day to me. Oy.

First time visitor - LOVE IT! I have a feeling Big Kid has his hands full with Mom (and vice versa). I'll be back... daily! So keep me laughing! BTW, don't know what the old look was like but what I see today is AWESOME!
Hubby and I laughed so hard at the convo we were crying....its so...male! Not to jump on the bandwagon but I'm grooving on the new look too! As a side note, Hubby said, blogroll??? I don't see yours there. My response? She said I made the blogroll and according to this, it will be up sometime before 2008 (which technically gives you until 11:59 on 12/31) I should be slightly jealous because Hubby loves you too but well...there are days I'd give him away

I would seriously die laughing if my 3yr old said that me, I really would. It would make my morning.
How you are able to get through these Big Kid conversations with even a remotely straight face is a power to behold.

I too LOVE conversations with Big Kid! I adore speech impediments (is that how it's spelled?) and I love his! LOL at I got pee-pee all over me...OMG!!
Whenever I have pee-pee all over me in the morning - it never turns out to be a good day. I'm in touch with Big Kid's emotion on that one!
If we were close, we'd have to get Big Kid and The Politician together since they are both Aug 03 kids- they would have a ball together and we could drink some alcohol and laugh at the nutty things they say.

OK, so some others beat me to it, but you have to answer me one thing. Are your documented conversations with Big Kid real? Because, seriously, no kid could be THAT funny! :) I absolutely love your blog! The new look suits you immensely. Thanks for brightening my days!
