Genius and Randomness

Have I told you all my latest bout of sheer brilliance?

The Boppy (a breastfeeding pillow for you non-parents) is The Perfect Laptop Desk in Bed. It keeps it off your lap so it's not hot and you don't get marks, it elevates it just so, and it is extremely comfortable.

And it makes your Boppy useful for more than a couple of months!

I had a maternity shoot tonight, a gorgeous mom and her gorgeous two year old daughter. The daughter complicated things, as two year olds always do, but the two of them are so striking to look at that it was easy to get some amazing photos. I was dreading going just because I'm so drained from this week, but it was really pretty down at the beach and it ended up being a lot of fun.

I've got three things I've GOT to do tomorrow and three things I'd LIKE to do tomorrow and I can't figure out what I'm going to do and how. The three things I've got to do are actually pretty mandatory, but my brain just can't seem to wrap itself around the unfairness and boringness of it all since the three things I'd like to do are much funner (not a word but should be) options.

Alright, it's late and I'm rambling. You'll see me tomorrow at some point.

I just reread this and it is all disjointed, there are no segways and it's not at all cohesive or even very interesting other than my Innovative Boppy Strategy. Oh well. They can't all be winners. You read it anyway.

I had a feeling segway was wrong and I was right. I guess it's "segue" but you probably wouldn't have guessed it was spelled that way anyhow. Let it be a lesson to us all. Segways are those new-fangled scooter thingys and segue is "
proceed to what follows without pause".

Are you drinking tonight? Just kidding....kinda. You do seem a little loopy tonight, but I mean that in a good way. :) I wish you had shared the Boppy tip a few weeks ago - I just gave mine away to the Pregnant Nanny (who is due in ONE WEEK, btw!!!). Did you know they're using Segways for tours around cities now? I guess you can cover lots of ground and not deal with traffic. I saw them all over DC when we were there in May. The problem, of course, is that the pedestrians who would also like to use the sidewalk are greatly inconvenienced by their presence. They are all gawking at the sites and not looking for a toddler who can't walk in a straight line or stay on his side of the sidewalk (aka, my 4 kids).

So I was also missing the proper segue into the Segway talk, but whatever. :)

PS Did I tell you that I have been volunteering this week at my church's Vacation Bible School, and they put me in the nursery with TEN two-year-olds? I don't think I told you that. Thank you, God, that tomorrow is Friday. It's been a rough week.

I totally have that conflict every day (I think it's normal). Do I write that program I *have* to write? Or do I surf the Netz which is much more interesting.

Luckily I work fast and get 8 hours worth of work done the last hour of the day, cuz you can probably tell which one wins :)

I just told my man that I need a Boppy and he thought I was talking about something else.

His response "is that what we are calling it now?"

Renee, volunteering at Bible school with 10 two-year-olds? You're definitely getting into heaven.

Ashley, as a grammar/spelling Nazi myself, I appreciate that you made the correction in the end.

Sheer Genius! Just so you know, I am an avid reader and SAHM with a newborn....a 6 week old baby girl (correction....princess!).

Breastfeeding just didn't work for us this time and now I have a super use for the BOPPY that's spent most of it's life in the closet!

Hooray...tonight both baby princess and I are happy, thanks for the tip! And, congrats on the new job...you will knock 'em dead!
