I don't want to stereotype but I've dealt with a few of them today and in my experience, they have an even bigger God complex than doctors do, and for no good reason as far as I can see.
I hate the fact that people can go out and hire attorney's just to try to screw up other people's lives. With that being said, I love my attorney, and not just because he's hot.
Yeah, I thought I wanted to be an attorney for about three seconds (actually for about three years...) So glad that I became the lazy, do-nothing that I am!
Hey now, don't lump us all together! I am a licensed MN attorney (as is my hubby). I do agree with you, however, that there are a lot of attorneys out there who are royal asshats, which is why I no longer practice. But, we're not all bad! :)
There are definetely some asshole attorneys and they will take their time getting back to you on certain issues (like not being a paying customer), but I LOVE my attorney. He is my dad, but he kicks ass. He is doing all the complex stuff involved in getting me protective orders against my ex and suing him. Without him, I would be pretty lost. Hope things get better!
Well my situation is one that they should be eager to call back about. Even the ones who seem good at their job still appear to suck as people, but maybe that's my area or the situation that I'm dealing with.

While I have to agree with the generalization, I do make exception for my husband, who is an attorney. He uses his powers for good, though, not evil!

Just jumping in to say...they aren't all awful! My brother and his girlfriend and pretty awesome and they use their powers for good...I promise! :)
