The Kids

are playing in Big Kid's room, with the door closed, which is usually against the rules but they have little kid in there with them...and I need the break.

So the rules have changed.

'The rules' have to be, from time to time, flexible. Like the bendy guy from the circus.

I like that "leave a comment or else" on your page. I just found your blog and like your outlook. It's rare people comment on my blog which is a bummer. And by the way, any time we can get a break I say "go for it!"

Hell ya! 2 4 year olds=1 8 year old and that is almost old enough to babysit alone! My 8 year old keeps an eye out on the baby all the time. Besides big kid will probably watch little kid like a hawk just to make sure he doesn't touch something he isn't suppose to or break one of his toys.

I'm with Alissa. 2 4yo= 1 8yo. And since you are in the house, they aren't babysitters, but "mother's helpers."

Totally legit. No neglect there.

I love it! Can we all send our kids over for BK and Emmers to watch?

Oh, hell yeah... The rules often change at our house, too... It's more like I just pretend that I don't see whatever it is... 'You're quiet, I need a break, I'm going to pretend that I don't see you running around with that magic marker...'

They are probably just looking at each other's private parts.

No biggie.
