Rainy Day Fun

For the last two days, the kids and I have been getting a running start from the foyer/living room area, throwing ourselves down slip-n-slide style, and sliding across the family room on a full sized air mattress.

It is a surprising amount of fun.

LMAO!!! I think that kinda borders on white trash...... that must be why it sounds like so much fun!

We have the mattress- if only we had the room to run.....

I caught up on your blog today because I was away for a few days.

Of course there are a few sentimental posts.

And of course the radio keeps playing sad songs...

I found out my ex boyfriend (from before Mr. Right) died today. I don't know how to feel about that? Never had this happen. How am I supposed to feel when somebody I was that close to for a long time but was too pissed at to talk to... dies.

What it because I said I hope you die?

Anyway. Just wanted to say - nice posts the last few days. Perfect timing.

Okay, I have to try that! It's 96 degrees in Utah today, so not rainy but WAY too hot to be outside. Maybe I need some ice cream!

I hope this rainy day activity is taking place before you start drinking.

You know what? That kind of fun is the best kind. And usually the kind your kids will always remember. There is nothing more magical for kids than to see their parents having a good time doing something with them. Good for you!!

Pictures, please. Or better yet, video.

(I have to see this.)

OMG FUN!!!!!!!!! That sounds better (read: less painful) than riding a sleeping bag down the stairs!

My kids, who think I am OCD, would absolutely SPAZ, if i even suggested something as fun as that!

Thanks for the idea!

PS. NEED PICS!

Now that sounds like fun!!

We are trying to recreate here but I'm thinking you don't have carpet.

Holy carp! I need to do this! Hmmm...no room in the house...but I do have a mud soaked farm with a really big hill! Yes!

Count on me having a broken arm tomorrow. ;)

Fun! And you are always going to go down in their eyes as a "fun" mom.

(PS -- ME, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Losing someone no matter who it is or how estranged you may have been is never easy!)

You remind me of that mom in that movie Jack.

That is so awesome! You go, mom!!

It's all fun and games until somebody has a subdural hematoma (when did I become my mother?).
