little kid

has spent all day long terrorizing me.

Yesterday I used my flipfold to fold 1 million shirts, in a tidy, beautiful stack I was going to take a photo of for you all and this morning when I went to the bathroom little kid unfolded them all and threw them around the family room.

Also, he has discovered my lovely little tablescape with the sweet little birds and nests and my adorable porcelain little bird salt and pepper shakers. He cannot stop sneaking in there and stealing eggs, he ripped all of the eggs out of the nests and chipped up their paint, be broke the beak off of a bird, and I found my pepper shaker bird outside.

Earlier I caught him trying to sneak the pepper mill outside and instead of putting it back like I told him to, he sat and devised/implemented several other schemes to get it outside, most likely to throw into the mud puddle he has created with the little water table thingy my mom got him. He has added soil from a nearby pot and used our Barbecue brush to stir it.

He has gotten his arm stuck in the crib bars during one of his many timeouts, I believe on purpose, and he tried to steal his brother's fruit roll up at lunch and has slapped and bit several people today.

He no longer gives a rat's ass about high fives or being a good boy and the only way to get him to behave long enough to accomplish much is to give him a lollipop (I know, I'm creating food issues, whatever) so now he's constantly harassing me for lollipops and I have a one a day limit. It's a real sore spot around here.

He's in time out again right now.

My friends used to have a collar that they put on their dog when it was a puppy to train it. When the dog would do something they didn't want it to do, like jump on the couch, they could give it a little zap to the collar from a remote control.....

Maybe something like this would work for little kid?

Yeah, I had one of those. He was my first born. And people ask why I waited so long to have another!
(6 yrs) Duh!
If this helps, though, at 13 he acts nothing like that anymore. He could give a rat's ass about my cute little eggs on the table. (hee, hee)

You should spank him. Or don't spank him. LOL.

I totally agree with So Tired. I'd actually like to get some of those collars for my ten year old for when she decides to watch TV instead of doing whatever it is that she is supposed to be doing.

Did Little Kid get kicked out of his new daycare already?
Sorry to hear about your day?

Give yourself a time out. With lots of liquor.

What effect does Benadryl have on him? If it slows him down, maybe you could just put him on a permanent IV drip.

Hmmm, I second the shock collar, er, I mean the behavior modification necklace. I love the Nester but my house will never be pretty, not while Spawn lives in it.

I have an idea for you though. Do you have a glue gun yet? If not, get one, and then hot glue EVERYTHING into place. Then LK can't take off with anything. If that doesn't work, try rubber cement. :)

So tired's idea is genius. I must say.

Sounds like your day was as fun as mine. I hope it gets better soon!

I'm agreeing with the Benadryl comment. Or just let him watch Spongebob--that shit is like crack for some kids.....and then they repeat the innapropriate parts, but hey, you do what you gotta do!

LK is so cute but he can be such an asshole sometimes.
