New Rule

Anyone within smacking distance gets smacked.

LOVE the rule!! My older girls always seem to stay just out of slapping distance when I they know they've done something "smackworthy."
Sometimes when I want to yell at them, I tell them to "come close enough that I can smack you," whether I plan to smack them or not. I think it's just in case they feel the need to make a smart comment while I'm yelling at them, then I can just smack them really quick-like. POW!

Love it, I may just make this the rule today also.

I am trying to pack for our spring break get away, and kids just don't seem to get it, luckily the little one is sleeping, but unfortunatly I have to pack her stuff when she wakes and this is where the problems will begin. Oh yea can some one make the kindergartener understand I don't have an hour to sit down and play Life.

Oh yea and speaking of our Spring Break get away. Don't think I don't love you anymore because I will not be around to leave comments. We leave tomorrow and come back on Sat. Hubs is taking his laptop and I have may sneak into the bathroom and check in. Otherwise I may go into withdrawal.

I can totally get behind this rule today. In fact, I'd like to have it printed on one of those cutesy distressed wood signs (you know - the kind that usually say something like "live-laugh-love" or "kiss the cook") and hang it right smack in the middle of the living room wall.

Can we get this new rule on a Junkmail Greeting Card?

Agreed.

Now if you will excuse me, I must get in arm's length of my hubs ex-wife.

Pardon me.

My mom used to take her shoe off and throw it at us if we were out of smacking distance.....that could be included in fine print.

My mom had a wooden spoon and she could reach all the way back in the station wagon!
I just smack what ever is in reach. You only have to pop a 12 year old in the head a few times before they believe you.

Great. Now I have to clean coffee off my monitor and keyboard! Thanks a lot. I don’t care who you are, that right there is funny.
