Whoever is emailing AFRo about her comments left here regarding Mississippi public schools...get a fucking life. Man, talk about making Mississippi look bad.
This isn't some random attack (I think she's even from Mississippi or something?), there is an actual list of how public schools are rated. Florida was right down near the bottom...but we still beat Mississippi.
little kid just showered Heidi Louise in Teddy Grahams, much to her delight, so I'm going to go deal with them, but people, behave yourselves.
And if you're going to fight...do it here. In the comments. So we can all watch and enjoy.

What a bunch of E-tards!!
After the very mature name calling and chatter on here, I moseyed over to AFRo's blog and found I like it. Is someone fighting about Mississippi schools now? I like to watch and participate in a good fight in comments.
Anyway, believe me, Texas schools are worse hands down babes! I was in the top 10% of my class and don't even know all 50 (or however many there are) states. Among other things, which I will slowly reveal through comments over time.
Oh, I just love cyber psycho stalking. I can imagine Norman Bates pixelated with a clip art bloody knife.
Gosh, I thought our Georgia schools were the worst. I was educated in South Carolina so I guess I'm in real trouble for my comment about Georgia.
My oldest is in kindergarten in a Georgia system and she's doing really well. In the past week, I've had to do a book report and a report on Saturn with her.
I just found this list of the best public schools in the USA. http://www.newsweek.com/id/39380
My high school is number 65...not too shabby. There are actually a lot on the list in the Washington, DC area (MD and VA suburbs) - we have really good schools in that area (and highly educated, very involved parents, which I think makes a big difference). I think I got a great education - I didn't take full advantage of it (I was a slacker), but I was certainly given the opportunity to learn a LOT. Our schools had great programs for Gifted kids as well as Special Needs kids. I have to admit that I know my states and capitals too. But I've had a recent refresher course because my 6-year-old has shown an interest in geography and plays these games on the computer all the time. Maybe he'll be one of those Geography Bee kids someday. :)
I need to go back and comment on your homeschool post. I had some thoughts on that one too.

I live in Louisiana and we generally do the switcheroo with MS year to year as to who has the worst schools. It's good times. Can't imagine why people here take out second mortgages to put their kids in private schools.
I can totally vouch for the DC/VA/MD area school suckage. We live here and it really does suck. Really.
I did email AFRo about her MS comment, but only b/c I agreed with her. I have a MS edumacation and I'm dern proud of it. :) She was cool with my email though. I'm not a beyotch, I only play one when I need to. :)
And a list? I'm too dang lazy to do all that digging.
If I may add some totally useless info here about Mississippi and I don't have time to go searching for the links at the moment to back this up, but it's pretty funny...
We are the fattest state in the US, but we are also the hungriest state in the US.
WTF? I will post links to this later...
Thanks for beating off the cyberbitches for me.. it was a little bit of a downer on my "day of rest." But, hell, it gave me something to do...
Now that's not fair! I left MS. The fatness totally shouldn't have followed me here. :)
No no - I was saying that the DC/VA/MD area has some of the top schools in the nation. Yeah, DC has some of the suckiest in the nation too. But in Montgomery, Arlington, and Fairfax counties, you have some of the best in the nation. (I grew up in Fairfax, btw.)

I love Afro and it's true, MS schools suck it bad. I thought that was common knowledge?
Yep, I second that La is the worst. We are broke as a joke, but I will sleep on the streets before I send my kids to public school. Next year, tuition for 2 will be more than my house note, but I don't care.
That's true Renee, that's true! My kids were slated to go to one of the worst in MD until we moved. Thank God!
I am so bummed out I am gonna assume that my last comment didn't go thru. Got that crazy error message.
I looked at the list The Renee posted and out of 600 only 5 were in TN, 2 private in Nashville, 2 in Brentwood which is super rich and 1 other.
I think it has gotten better since I graduate a oh so long ago, but I have heard good things about the county we live in (not the same as where I went to school), so I have high hopes for the Kindergartener.
Owning a home? Only a dream here in the Diry D, I work to support my kids education and buy groceries. It's sick. If only I had the nerve to homeschool... I could quit my job and blog for a living. Wouldn't that be nice?
I love you guys too, but I swear I don't know what to make of a mention in Ashley's closet. I'm still resisting the urge to pee myself it excites me so...
